I decided to call the album
‘IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME’, because I got the term
from bikers that I played the album for in Washington, Oregon and California.
That was the first comment they
all made.
ROAD CAPTAIN is doing something that no one else has ever done before.
They play music for people that are in their forties, fifties and sixties. It’s
good old
fashioned rock ‘n’ roll that sounds like 1968 and 1969 music. How many times
have you heard someone say, "No one plays the rock ‘n’ roll we like anymore"?
Well, WE DO NOW!
ROAD CAPTAIN is a collection of
unique musicians from the Seattle area.
Individually, each one of them has been playing rock ‘n’ roll for over thirty
years in
clubs, bars, and some concerts. Two of the members are grandparents. One of the
members has been with groups that have been on record labels before, been on
tour with the DICK CLARK CARAVAN OF STARS tours in the 1960s and has
been in several groups from Seattle; a full time musician. He also has a
tremendous
history in the evolution of rock ‘n’ roll.
This band finally decided to do something about playing music that your
generation can relate to. The material is arranged and recorded in such a way
that it
relates to late 1960s rock ‘n’ roll. Everyone that listens to the album can
relate to
different sounds of the music that reminds them of some other band back in the
1960s. We purposely designed it that way. So if you’re in your fifties, you’ll
feel like
you’re in your twenties again when you listen to this album. We call this music
Rude and Crude Rock ‘n’ Roll’.
ROAD CAPTAIN is for bikers. Every one that rides a bike can relate to the
music and story that this band tells. There’s all kinds of different types of
bikers,
and we’ve designed the music in such a way that there is a little bit for
everybody.
There’s hard rock, blues rock, pop rock, and commercial rock. There’s even a
pretty ballad for the ladies.
The big boys in the industry in Los Angeles are trying to tell me that there’s
no
market here, and they just don’t understand. We want all of the bikers to spread
the
news about ROAD CAPTAIN word-of-mouth. If you like the album, tell
somebody about it. We know that there are 21 million on-the-road bikers in the
U.S. alone, including all types of bikes. It’s biker music written and performed
by
bikers, for bikers.
So if you’ve complained over the years that no one plays the kind of music you
like anymore, and to help us prove that the big boys in L.A. are wrong, buy the
ROAD CAPTAIN’s album that is titled, ‘IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME’.
Thank you for buying the album,
